A little Friday sauciness coming from Hot Bitch Sharon Stone who took to the Instagram comments (that’s right!) to say she was “removed” from Another Simple Favor. Her exact quote is: “I LOVED being cast and removed from my role unexpectedly for no reason at all LOVED it 👏👏👏👏.” My interpretation is she was fired, not cut out in the edit. She commented this on a post for E! News’s Hot Goss, a media outlet.
Paul Feig is pretty active on social media so I wonder if he will respond to it. Most attempts he's made to quell gossip have backfired; I think the problem is that he is sincerely trying to engage with people who only want a “gotcha” moment for an Instagram Reel.
In huge fashion news, Demna is going to Gucci. But it isn’t just fashion news as Kering’s stock dropped 12%. Gucci is a billion dollar company and too big to fail, but it has been faltering, particularly in China. Now the question is whether or not Demna has time to put forth his work for the fall 2025 shows, or if Gucci starts fresh with his vision in 2026.
As we know, these brands make their money not from couture but the “small” stuff like bags, t-shirts, belts. The challenge is doing that in fresh way that isn’t just a retread of the double G belt all the Housewives wear.
Cate Blanchett appeared on Subway Takes (I’m a little over this style of interview?) and said leaf blowers need to be eradicated. I am in favour of her argument but I guess I’m also lucky to live in a neighbourhood with no leaf blowers. Everyone rakes.
Lucy Hale is dating reality TV star Harry Jowsey and it’s “casual” but not “brand new” – I’m too old for this, what does that mean?! Like a situationship? Or not exclusive but consistent? I need a translator. I vaguely remember Harry from a reality TV show I think I watched during Covid but a quick Google search tells me he’s a certified f-ckboy. I don’t know if PEOPLE would run the story without speaking to someone in Lucy’s orbit as she is the more established of the two, so maybe she is the one who wants to get the “super casual” message across. SUPER casual. That was the phrase used. They added the SUPER to be extra clear.
