This casting news got me: Lada Gaga has joined Wednesday for season two. Which means season two is still filming and we have a long way to go before it airs. The first season came out in November of 2022, so are we looking at three years between seasons? 

 

Entertainment Weekly had a piece on the wait between times and it’s a common fan gripe – barring strikes and pandemics, why are we waiting so long? For the audience, it can be frustrating because there’s no shortage of TV but it’s not necessarily the TV we want. And I think this is why Bravo has become so dominant; their schedule typically includes a Housewife, a Below Deck, and one of the “younger” shows like Summer House, Vanderpump Rules or Southern Charm. And they consistently drop trailers and seven-minute teasers. Keeps our short attention spans engaged at all times. 

 

A Little Life movie adaption? Respectfully, please, no. We have been through enough this year. 

While Jessica Simpson is on marriage watch, I’m on brand watch. I did a bit of digging and it looks like the Jessica Simpson Collection’s worth has plummeted and sales aren’t so hot. The line has moved to Walmart and is still affordable, but retail is a slog right now and discretionary income is very stretched for most people. 

 

I’m not counting her out because this was always going to be the challenge of going it alone for her brand – no large conglomerate with built-in teams to help with marketing and negotiating with suppliers and distribution. And if the album (or even the album promo!) is a hit, it could reinvigorate the brand.

 

In some hilariously good news, The Onion has bought Infowars and plans to use it as a “cosmic joke.” Everytown for Gun Safety is the launch advertiser. 

 

There’s been so much news over the last week that this pregnancy post from Megan Fox slipped past me. I’m not surprised she’s pregnant. The surprising part is that she and MGK have been together since 2020. 

 

Sofia Richie’s daughter has a phone that stays with her baby, and then her friends pretend to talk to the baby (and for the baby) and give her a sassy personality. This feels like an inside joke that should have stayed in the group chat.
