Blake Lively and Ryan Reynolds donated $1 million to hurricane relief and love them or not, they are consistently generous. I just took a peek at the Blake Brown reviews and ouch. Not only is the It Ends With Us stuff still raging in the comments but the product reviews are bad. People are more prone to leaving poor reviews than positive reviews (that’s why things like Yelp exist) but I feel bad for the social media manager; this was probably not what they were expecting when they took the job for a celebrity brand.
And for the marketing team, it’s pretty stifling not being able to use your biggest asset. The Target reviews are quite a mix of opinions. Of course the reviews only tell one side of the story. The real marker is sales: is the product moving? Are there repeat customers? That’s the metric I’m curious about.
The only thing longer than Katy Perry’s album promo is Kate Hudson’s album promo. Well, promo is the wrong term because it was released in May but she continues to hustle for it, appearing at the Grammy Museum. Is this campaigning? I honestly don’t know but I’m curious as to what category she would be in. I haven’t heard one of her songs in real life, only in thirty-second Instagram snippets.
Kevin Bacon shared a list of scary movies and I will not be watching any of these because I’m a scaredy pants. I watched Sleepaway Camp as a kid and that was it for me.

More fashion news: Kim Jones is leaving Fendi to concentrate on his role at Dior Men. Is it me or has there been more shuffling than usual this year? It may seem inconsequential and not to do the whole “cerulean blue” thing but what these designers create matter as it trickles down into our lives through clothing. But all this shuffling makes it seem as if the industry is anxious – maybe the vibecession isn’t over.
IMG Models is a massive, powerful agency and for Joan Smalls to post this takes a lot of courage. Read the comments – her peers are not surprised and very supportive.
So far I haven’t seen a response from IMG.
Joel Kim Booster is hosting a new Housewives dating show and a few weeks back went off about one of the Housewives, calling her a pathetic drunk and finishing with “I hope she suffers.” You can read a recap here. He just posted an apology.
