I don’t know if people are genuinely saying “Rocky Horror Show is problematic” or if people are arguing over the use of “problematic” or if people are trolling. The problem with art-in-30-second-TikToks is that it loses cultural context. Actually, that’s one of many problems.

Halsey is doing a series of impersonations for her The Great Impersonator series, the latest drop is Dolly Parton and then PJ Harvey. Her homage to Britney Spears didn’t quite land and she said it made her regret coming back but it seems like she always had a plan to do a series of them.

There is a costume element to these photos though, like she’s dressing up for Halloween. A little hokey but maybe that’s the point? Maybe it’s an analysis of the way we consume female artists and their aesthetics.

Shrinking is coming back and creator Bill Lawrence is mildly defending his daughter Charlotte Lawrence against claims of being a nepo baby because he has no connection to the music industry. He doesn’t have a record label on speed dial but this is so funny to me because he is loaded, his wife is actress Christa Miller and they are pretty well connected. And did I mention rich? That means access to the best music teachers, vocal coaches, stylists, trainers, etc. The teeniest bit of self-awareness goes a long way.

The Sex Lives of College Girls has its first teaser but the big storyline has already been set up as it was announced ages ago that Renee Rapp left the show. At the time, it seemed a little sticky and she never posts about the show so I’m curious if she will acknowledge her on-screen send-off.
