Katy Perry is performing at the VMAs with butterflies which could be theatrical, maybe? They look like CGI to me but she physically recoils so I don’t know what’s going on. 

But why show us beforehand? She’s already in a very long promo cycle, a little surprise might do her good. 

I’ve said it before, I am not Bachelor Nation so maybe Stephanie can school me on this, but WHAT is with the ex-fiancé of Jenn Trann posting their personal texts?! Can I be honest – I HATE the “receipts” excuse for posting text messages. I’m not talking about cases of harassment or abuse, I just mean when it’s a situation like this – a breakup that got messy. Or a friendship fallout. Ding dong Devin also posted intimate messages (which is illegal in some parts of the US!) and then had to take it down and repost it, with pages and pages of private conversations. “But what about his side” – ummmm, he was sitting on stage with her at the reunion. She spoke, he spoke. It’s not like he hasn’t had a chance to tell his side of the story. New villain unlocked (and this isn’t the post – it’s still up on his page). 

Bad Bunny posted a photo of Adam Sandler in his stories, fresh off the announcement he will be in Happy Gilmore 2. His role is unclear but it’s an Adam Sandler movie, the cast is there to have fun. And sometimes that fun translates into entertainment and sometimes it translates to a plane movie but either way, it’s a good time. It sounds like a great gig. 

Yesterday, when Lainey and I were texting about the Dave Grohl story, we were talking about Dave’s “good guy” status and I likened him to Adam Sandler; they have the same “everybody loves him” reputation. But Adam Sandler could never ever. I’m as cynical as it gets and I expect celebrities to be human, but even I would be surprised if he messed up so spectacularly. But there’s no indication we have to worry about Adam – his public persona very much matches what people say about him privately. 

Dave Grohl’s baby daddy drama is in another post (to be clear, HE is the drama) and if you are looking for Courtney Love’s take, don’t check Instagram. She deleted her account quite a while ago. I also scanned the likes on this post – not a single celebrity name that I could see. 

PEOPLE already has an update on Dave Grohl this morning (you can read my hot take here) reporting that he retained a divorce attorney before the story broke. Again, this is not info that he would want out. This doesn’t make him look good (even if it is practical). And the fact that PEOPLE ran it shows they aren’t scared of Dave’s team, the risk of angering them is worth the reward. My question remains – who is pissed at Dave Grohl? Considering his home life right now, who isn’t.
