Charlie Hunnam improves
Charlie Hunnam was at the LACMA Art + Film Gala this weekend in Los Angeles and… is this the best outfit he’s ever worn? The velvet Gucci shirt is very sexy, the pants are perfect, and most importantly, he’s posing properly. If you’ve been visiting this site over the years, you’ll know the Charlie red carpet pose has always been an issue for me because he never played to his angles, his head was always tilted up too high. Now, though, I can’t find a single sh-tty picture of Charlie from this event. Every pose is good.
Charlie has been a lot more visible recently because he’s promoting that Ryan Murphy Netflix show about that serial killer. Which one, Lainey, be more specific! I know, right? Anyway, he’s not just doing red carpets and premieres for the series, he’s also showing up at events like this, timed for award season. He was at the Academy Museum Gala last week too, even though he’s not campaigning for a role in a film. Still, there’s a possibility for a Golden Globe nomination and Critics Choice, maybe even SAGs. So the fact that he’s actually participating on the circuit tells me he’s interested.
What else happened today…
I will never get tired of seeing Kristen Stewart in a naked dress. Because she is one of the few people who can do a naked dress and keep it sexy…but also super f-cking cool. (Go Fug Yourself)
Thank you Dustin Rowles for asking this question: “Who does SNL’s Ashley Padilla remind us of?” He comes up with three good candidates, but I think I’ve just figured out who it’s been for me and I wasn’t able to nail it until now: Lily Rabe! PS I love Lily Rabe and I think she’s underrated. (Pajiba)
Just Andrew seems to have a sympathiser in a person who, of course, would sympathise with him because he was also friends with Jeffrey Epstein and has been accused, multiple times of sexual assault. And was found liable in court for sexual abuse. Allyship, I guess. (Celebitchy)
How Michelle Obama used clothing as strategy – which is what we’ve been saying for a long, long, LONG time at LaineyGossip. That clothes are part of the work…even though some people in Hollywood pretended to get offended by the question but didn’t know what exactly they were offended by. It doesn’t happen as much now, but when there’s a whole book about the First Lady’s fashion and how it related to her job, hopefully nobody will ever “pop off” on a red carpet for being asked. (The Cut)
Mentioned it already today but doing it again because I wrote it and I want you to read it. PEOPLE’s Sexiest Man Alive 2025 will be announced tonight on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon, and here’s my analysis and prediction list. (The Squawk)
