Over the last few years, Chris Hemsworth finally found his groove as a comedic actor, but also as a leading man who is happy—even enthusiastic—about working with women. Most of his movies from the last few years have Hemsworth either playing second fiddle to women (Ghostbusters), or co-starring with women (The Huntsman: Winter’s War, Thor: Ragnarok, Men in Black: International). The nice part is, he’s not out here trying to get a cookie for this, he’s just consistently doing the work, or rather, sharing the work. It’s a big reason why Hemsworth is my Top Chris. He could only do better if he used his burgeoning power producer abilities to support more women behind the camera, instead of, say, Hulk Hogan biopics

Hemsworth’s latest lady collaboration is with Tiffany Haddish, in a buddy cop comedy called Down Under Cover. It’s about a cop who goes undercover to bust a heist ring involving Australian male exotic dancers along with his “lone wolf” partner. Um, YES PLEASE. First, I want to see how Hemsworth and Haddish play off one another, and second, there is sure to be tons of shirtless Chris Hemsworth. Shirtless Chris Hemsworth is second-best Chris Hemsworth (first best is Thor: Ragnarok Chris Hemsworth). This is an all-around great comedy concept. I especially love that twenty years ago this would have been a dead serious action movie starring Patrick Swayze and Halle Berry, but now we admit that all Patrick Swayze action movies are really comedies, so we’re just making them as actual comedies. Which means…if they DO remake Road House…it should star Chris Hemsworth. I would actually watch that and maybe not hate it.
