Coldplay just announced a world tour today. 

 

This is coming off the success of their collaboration with BTS on the song “My Universe” which hit #1 on the Billboard Hot 100 in its first week and remains in the top 15 now. BTS is playing their first live in-person shows in Los Angeles at the end of November and early December. Heads up for those of you paying attention that I will have serious fomo during that time and may be insufferable, even more insufferable than I usually am. But back to my original point – there’s already speculation and anticipation that, maybe, Coldplay will make a surprise appearance and join BTS on stage when they play that song. 

Coldplay performed in London on Tuesday night and here’s how Chris Martin introduced “My Universe”: 

 

His “universe” Dakota Johnson’s schedule happened to align with Chris and the band because she was in London for the premiere of Maggie Gyllenhaal’s The Lost Daughter last night. They’ve now been together about four years and it’s been steady and solid between them, although every few months or so there’s either an engagement rumour, a pregnancy rumour, or a breakup rumour. Given her reaction to his public declaration, we’re due for an engagement rumour next.
