Chrissy Teigen’s brand, as Desus and Mero say, is STRONG. She’s on the cover of Women’s Health and the accompanying feature is Classic Chrissy. She talks openly about her postpartum depression, gets real about how unrealistic Instagram is, and gives some great anecdotes about her sex life with John Legend.

The latter is what every outlet is picking up on. A few months ago, Chrissy tweeted about the monotony of clickbait culture and how everything she says or tweets becomes a headline.

Then, that tweet became a story.  I understand her sentiment – it’s a bit ridiculous to report every single one of her tweets as an EPIC TAKEDOWN but at the same time, this is Chrissy Teigen’s brand. She is the candid celeb who is “just like us” and has no filter. Her takes are hilarious and oftentimes make for a good story. In this case, her quotes are from a magazine interview and not just her random musings from the toilet (this is where everyone tweets from, right?) so does that make it better that we’re all talking about it?

This is what Chrissy said about sex after two kids with John Legend

“It doesn’t matter who you are—even if you’re a sexy R&B crooner or an ex–swimsuit model, you’re just tired! We still have that passion for each other, but are we doing it randomly in a dressing room? No!”

What’s the excuse for feeling the exact same way when you don’t have two kids? Asking for a friend.

“We’ll get back into it again. But it is funny: If he performs somewhere, and I go, I’m like, ‘Oh, he’s sexy.’ We’ll probably have sex that night.”

So, Chrissy Teigan finds her husband sexy sometimes and then they have sex. Why do we care? Well, I care because it’s Chrissy and John and I think they may be one of my couples I worry about – you know, like Maria and the Beckhams or Lainey and the Taylor-Johnsons. I also care because Chrissy and John were photographed leaving the GQ Awards afterparty this week “passionately kissing” in the back of a cab. Tongues are out and everything. Get it, Mom and Dad! This is way better than playing up a kiss for the jumbotron at a tennis match. In the context of the above quote, the GQ Awards was one of the nights that Chrissy was like, “Oh, he’s sexy.” And now we all know exactly how that night ended.

Chrissy can give us funny sex anecdotes and deliver one of the best Kavanaugh hearing tweets of the week.

This is why we love her. The brand is STRONG.
