Colman Domingo is asking the men to clock in. He cannot do it alone! But he does. This man’s laugh is Julia Roberts-level infectious. (Thanks for sending, Angela!)

Some people wait for Mimi to declare Christmas season is open but for me, it’s the Tom Cruise coconut cake.

I really love this because Martin Scorsese’s life isn’t a movie? He directs the movie, he isn’t the subject of the movie.

Chad Lowe is asked about Hillary Swank’s Oscar speech and it’s a wise answer. At the time, I think a lot of people misread the dynamic and saw famous woman/less famous husband but Chad was surrounded by movie stars for years. His family moved to Malibu when he and Rob Lowe were teens and they hung with Charlie and Emilio, Sean Penn and his brothers – there was a gaggle of them. Some were more famous than others but they were all in the mix and working.

There was an assumption that he would be jealous and the way he tells it (and I believe him) that wasn’t the case.

Quentin Tarantino woke up and brewed himself a piping hot cup of haterade. Vulture is asking the question everyone wants to know: What Did Paul Dano Do To Quentin Tarantino? It is a question we will be asking ourselves for a very long time. Here’s Maya Hawke relaying some sage advice from her mom regarding working with Quentin.

We talk a lot about influencers and how fast the attention economy is changing, but the podcast circuit is mind-boggling to me. It’s so much yapping but so little conversation. George Clooney on New Heights is one of those “how did we get to here” moments. Many of the podcasters are now famous (like Armchair Experts, Good Hang and SmartLess), so it feels like yet another way for famous people to interview other famous people and it’s too soft. Same with the gimmick interviews; the lie detector tests and the hot wings and the quirky set-ups. There’s always a schtick because it provides a layer of protection for the celebrity but we can’t just blame the PR machine; it’s also a way to engage audiences that demand to be entertained in 30-second snippets.
