One of the offshoots from the Blake Lively and Justin Baldoni legal mess is whether or not Blake and Taylor still have a relationship. The tabloids and social media have been obsessively trying to find out if Taylor’s cut Blake out of her life over all the details that have come out from the legal documents. There’s been speculation that Taylor did not appreciate being dragged in the chaos and has been distancing herself since.
I don’t know that it’s just Blake and that Taylor is avoiding. As mentioned yesterday in the site open, Taylor has disappeared herself since the Super Bowl, sensing that after an almost two year tour – of both her music and her romantic relationship – it was time for a break. And she hasn’t been seen on any public friend hangs with her usual squad, not even for their birthdays, in months.
Over the last couple of weeks, though, there have been a couple of stories placed here and there about how there’s supposedly been a thawing of whatever alleged tension between her and Blake …but yesterday… a reversal.
The headlines are that Travis Kelce has unfollowed Ryan Reynolds and if that’s the case then, for sure, it can be read as a sign that things are not at all well between Taylor and Blake. But was it an unfollow or a never follow? Because while anyone can see that, indeed, Travis does not follow Ryan, there hasn’t been any confirmation that he ever followed Ryan in the first place. Also the Reddit thread that’s been attributed to pointing out this mystery unfollow or never follow it’s pointed out in the comments that the poster is supposedly anti-TNT with some people calling out their motives for bringing this up; not necessarily to question the Taylor and Blake friendship but to suggest that, maybe, things might not be right between Taylor and Travis.
I don’t want to get into any more crazy fan headaches, let’s go back to what Instagram follows and unfollows really mean and if this is actually a story since we have no confirmation that Travis at one time was even following Ryan. Because there are a lot of Taylor’s other friends he does not follow who have nothing to do with the situation. For example, Travis follows Cara Delevingne but not Gigi Hadid, both of whom have been close to Taylor over the years.
Does that mean that Taylor likes Cara more than she likes Gigi? Are we starting this rumour? Also, Travis follows Paul Sidoti, Taylor’s longtime guitar player, but not Jack Antonoff, Taylor’s longtime collaborator. Other celebrity friends of Taylor’s who are among Travis’s unfollows include Selena Gomez and the Haim sisters. He follows Keleigh Sperry Teller but not Ashley Avignone, known as one of Taylor’s closest friends. Another one of her oldest friends, Abigail Anderson Berard, is also not on Travis’s follow list.
