Jennifer Lawrence has been papped more regularly in New York lately. She lives there and she was also filming there recently, working with Leonardo DiCaprio on Martin Scorsese’s What Happens at Night. They reportedly wrapped on the project a couple of weeks ago so now she has more down time and she’s been seen going for walks, with or without her baby, on bike rides, and also heading to the gym, which is what she was doing this morning. In a “Blank Check” ballcap by Alltimers that is currently out of stock.

But that’s not her only ballcap. JLaw appears to be a ballcap girl because over the last few months, she’s worn a variety of them – I’ve attached a few examples to this post – which leads me to believe she has a collection. Like intentionally, not just stashed around the house as freebies but that she actively shops for them. Just a theory. Or maybe a projection, because I’m a ballcap girl. In the summer you will never not see me with a ballcap on, off and on the golf course. In the winter I will wear a beanie over a ballcap. There is always at least one ballcap in my backpack. There’s a whole shelf of ballcaps in my closet and more in the mudroom for a quick grab when I’m walking the dogs. I have “outfit” caps and proper “playing golf” caps and also just “dashing out of the house to get some basil” caps. I am always shopping for caps. Because they’re cute and I look cute in them but also because of sun protection.

It’s a regular habit for me, searching for ballcaps and specific ones too. I have several BTS caps from their various merch collections. And I’m always looking for Snoopy gear, Snoopy everything, I am obsessed with Snoopy. And I just bought the cutest Snoopy hat from Urban Outfitters last week, it arrived yesterday. Snoopy and golf is the one I got, but Snoopy is doing all kinds of sports in different colourways here.

The other constant in my wardrobe is my initial – I’m that vain bitch who always wants to wear my own name, so I have the Province of Canada “L” initial denim cap. They come in every letter and it’s a good fit.

The denim cap I wore the most last year was my Huntr/x cap, official merch, and it was sold out fast after K-pop Demon Hunters took over but they’ve restocked, if you’re interested. Without fail, someone always comments when they see me wearing this one.

Finally, there’s a company, YHM Designs, that specialises in airport codes. Like t-shirts repping the airport codes of cities around the world. I have an HKG ballcap for Hong Kong and it’s also one of my favourite gifts to get people who are into that kind of personalisation.

What else happened today…

I don’t play video games so I’m not really tapped into the culture but I do know Grand Theft Auto and I also know that the new version will come out later in the fall and that the sales for it are expected to be in the range of blockbuster movies, like multiple. Kayleigh Donaldson writes about the cost and the demand. (Pajiba)

I also never got into Jackass but for the people who have been into it for…decades now… this is a goodbye. (The Ringer)

OH MY GOD I love this look on Kristen Stewart SO f-cking much. (Go Fug Yourself)

Is this the least sexy season of Love Island USA? Yes. The ratings are enormous but, like, so is the nausea. Level. (The Cut)

I cannot wrap my  head around this: an animated Survivor with animals? (Celebitchy)
