As Sarah just pointed out in her post about Sebastian Stan earlier today, even though he’s sort of the unofficial leader of the Thunderbolts* with his Marvel seniority, he was not at the UK premiere last night because he’s working on another project. I feel like they’ll probably find a way for him to show up for the Hollywood premiere though? But also, this is the advantage of a team, an ensemble, as ragtag as the Thunderbolts* promise to be.

Here they are: Lewis Pullman, Wyatt Russell, David Harbour, Hannah John-Kamen, Florence Pugh, Julia Louis-Dreyfus, Geraldine Viswanathan, Wendell Pierce, and director Jake Schreier.

Flo, of course, is the centerpiece here in Sebastian’s absence. And that makes sense for story too since Yelena Belova is Natasha Romanoff’s successor and Flo, obviously, is one of the biggest stars of her generation. I like the big swing she’s taking here with her eye makeup. Makes up for the boring dress – she looks good, it just feels like it’s another version of the same thing she’s been wearing for a while.

It’s great to see Julia though, a television legend, taking up space in a movie that’s expected to be a blockbuster. This is Marvel, Thunderbolts* is kicking off blockbuster season and as Sarah has been saying will likely be a rebound for the MCU after a couple of underwhelming years. Thunderbolts* will set the table for Fantastic Four: First Steps in July. And speaking of…

When there’s an MCU release, all members of the MCU are welcome, whether they’re in the latest installment or not. So here’s Pedro Pascal dressed for cozy in London last night doing his corporate duty. And, perhaps, hinting at a cameo? Anything is possible during those mid-credit and end-credit scenes.

Speaking of corporate duties, Pedro’s had a pretty busy schedule lately with The Last of Us and he was just in Japan for the whole Star Wars bonanza this weekend joining Sigourney Weaver, Jon Favreau, and Baby Yoda to promote the upcoming Mandalorian and Grogu movie due next May. My point? Pedro Pascal is a f-cking baller right now – he’s MCU and Star Wars Universe and The Last of Us is currently HBO’s biggest show.

Jodi Turner-Smith is also Star Wars and she showed up dressed for it last night. I love this outfit, the way it’s bloused and layers, the rich brown, all the different textures, especially in the skirt. Gorgeous look.

Finally, to bring it back to the MCU, Simu Liu was present too. Shang-Chi is confirmed to be part of Avengers: Doomsday so his story will continue. He could have just been there because he’s a member of the family but, again, you never know who’ll make an appearance in those credits. I like the choice to wear the long jacket – it’s definitely Shang-Chi coded.
