What Else?
Taylor Swift breaking news endorsement was a big deal across the board, in both news and entertainment and, I guess, tech streams. Because right after she rejected one failed billionaire, another billionaire decided we needed to be disgusted by him, again. To borrow a phrase that Madam Vice President Harris said repeatedly last night during the debate, let’s be clear on this – sexual harassment is used to undermine women all the time, and that’s what Elon Musk is doing here through Twitter. It’s deeply disturbing, it’s misogynistic, and also, as NY Mag points out, it’s racist. (NY Mag)
Will we see another debate this election? I feel like the networks would want it, because the ratings must have been huge. Early numbers are coming in at around 65 million, which is big. But of course it depends on the candidates. Some news outlets have reported that VP Harris's team is in but that’s not surprising considering how she performed. As for the other guy. Not surprisingly he’s puffing around like he won but we all know he’s having a meltdown right now because nobody else thinks he’s won and he reads the reviews. Which is precisely why he won’t want a rematch. (Hollywood Unlocked)
I interviewed Dave Bautista on the red carpet at The Last Showgirl premiere her at TIFF on Friday. Didn’t really go into it having thought a lot about him and by the end of our exchange, I was thoroughly charmed. First of all, he was really beautifully dressed. The necklaces around his neck were a nice touch. The fit was excellent. And he was cute and a little shy and also seemed very sweet. I appreciate the way he’s managed his career and the direction he seems to be interested in heading. (Pajiba)
Our site manager Emily sent the thumbnails of these Katy Perry photos to me yesterday and wrote, “WTF is she wearing?” I can’t answer that question but it is very 2005 coded so, I dunno, I guess she’s trying to reclaim her past popularity in the hopes that we’ll care more about this album. Hello? Is there anybody out there who actually cares? (GoFugYourself)
Gen Z is saying that they’re done with concealer under the eyes and that bronzer is the way to go. They can do whatever they want with their faces but in the videos I’ve seen of the kids comparing bronzer to concealer, the eye with the bronzer looks wayyyyy worse. At least to me. But then they would say I’m old and I have bad vision – which I don’t, because I’ve had laser correction surgery and my eyesight is basically superhero levels! (Celebitchy)
