Duana saw these photos before I did. I was heading back from the press room when my Blackberry went off with a note from her that read “you’re not going to like Emma Stone”. She was right.

Very, very disappointed.

This is Emma Stone at the Vanity Fair party. The fringe ages her. A lot. The fringe with the blonde turns her into an old cougar rock groupie. I hate it. And I hate the beaver tail at the back of her dress. Why is that happening? It’s perfectly adorable without it. It’s totally ridiculous with it. Right out of Carrie Underwood’s closet.

I just seized at having to write that sentence. A sentence featuring my beloved Emma alongside that Country Bitch?

But it’s true. It’s a really, really bad choice. However, at least she wasn’t at the main show. At least it wasn’t a mistake for the main show. When she goes to the main show, and she will soon, I have to believe there won’t be a letdown.
