Emma Watson has been super active on Instagram lately – and it’s notable because she’s not usually this engaged on social media. There was a flurry of posts in April for her birthday and that led into the announcement shortly after when she announced that she and her brother Alex have launched Renais Gin.
Since then there’s been a steady drip of content, including promotion for Prada Beauty and this amazing shot of her living her best life at the beach…
My favourite from the Prada series though is this shot of her on the boat and the bandana in her hair and the perfect sailing sweater:
This week though there’s another piece of clothing that’s going viral. To hype up their gin, Emma and Alex did a tasting and a photo shoot, with wardrobe provided by Loewe. And it’s this blue “floating” dress that everyone is talking about:
As you can see in the comments people are confused about how the dress is constructed to be able to “float” away from her body the way it appears to be in this shot. But we also saw a similar effect on Jennifer Lawrence last week on the red carpet – and JLaw too was wearing Loewe, a dress with a sweetheart neckline that was offset from her chest thanks to a corset underneath.

The dress also came in red and khaki, and the whole collection was similarly offbeat but wearable. And I say again what I said in that JLaw post last week – I wish Emma would have worn it with those hilarious balloon shoes!
