How awesome is the sight of George Clooney arriving on a boat? Look at this. Who does it better than this? Who owns the world better than this? (Maybe Brad Pitt, but it would be a bloody battle.)

This is George Clooney, all boss, cranking up the handsome, arriving at the Venice Film Festival today for The Ides of March photo call with co-writer Grant Heslov and co-stars Philip Seymour Hoffman, Paul Giamatti, Marisa Tomei, and Evan Rachel Wood. No Ryan Gosling. He’s tied up working on another movie. He will however be in Toronto for TIFF. And I’m not sure the Italians really care that he’s not there anyway. They want George. All they want is George. We all want George. Especially when he’s on his campaign game. Handshakes and big smiles, jokes with photographers to make them feel like they could be friends, an arm around everyone to show you he really is everyone’s friend - there’s a reason he’s so popular: he works really hard at it.

PS. I want everything on Evan Rachel Wood. Head to toe.
