Greta Lee: Get ready for more c-nting

During the press tour and award season run for Past Lives a year and a half ago, Greta Lee became an internet favourite. Specifically a queer internet favourite. They bestowed on her the C-nt Crown, basically the highest compliment. 

I’m sure you remember the tweets, but just in case, here’s one of the most viral examples.

As Vanity Fair said in 2024, before Past Lives, Greta was “hiding in plain sight” and since then… well… every time she steps out it’s a serve. And, more importantly, she is working, working a lot. 

She can currently be seen in the new season of The Morning Show. She was at the Venice Film Festival with two projects, including Kathryn Bigelow’s A House of Dynamite which received strong reviews and could be an Oscar contender. Right now, Greta’s focus is Tron: Ares and she’s the main character. From small character-driven pieces to soapy television series to Hollywood blockbusters, Greta Lee is, flexing her range. 

I interviewed Greta last week and since I’m still recovering from seeing that face up close, I’ll share more details in the coming weeks because we’re getting a lot of Greta over the next few weeks. One of my questions for her was about what she has planned, especially the fashion, on this press tour because the Tron Universe has a specific and signature look, as seen in the previous two movies and that look is honoured in the third. Greta hinted to me that the promotional wardrobe will definitely be Tron coded. And she came through on that promise yesterday at the photo call in Paris.

As Emily, our site manager, would say: f-ck me up. And f-ck you up. She is f-cking us all up. 

This is a Luar suit, perfectly tailored, and also Tron vibed but not too on the nose – so it works as a fashion moment on its own but also as part of the look for this particular movie and promotion. 

But also, the face card. Let me show you without the shades on. 

I promise you there’s no trickery here. She looks like this in person, this was the face I was staring at from three feet away, no filter, no fakeness. Just pure GRETA F-CKING LEE…
