Greta Lee was in Seoul yesterday, the first stop for her on the Tron: Ares press tour. This is basically Greta’s first blockbuster – of course we’ve seen her in television series and will love her forever in Past Lives, but those are much smaller productions in comparison to Tron. And… she is the lead. Greta is not a supporting character in this movie. As she said at the press conference, “I never imagined I'd visit Korea as the protagonist of a Hollywood blockbuster.” We haven’t seen a Korean American in a lead role in a Hollywood blockbuster in a long, looooong time. Her visit to Korea, then, must have been very special. 

 

But Tron: Ares isn’t the only work that Greta’s got going on this fall. She can be seen in the new season of The Morning Show, premiering this week. Also Kathryn Bigelow’s A House of Dynamite which played very well in Venice a few weeks ago and opens in select release on October 10, the same day as Tron: Ares. A Greta Lee double bill!

 

It was in Venice where Greta shut down the carpet in that Dior piece by Jonathan Anderson. Just last week it was formally announced that she is now a Dior ambassador, continuing her relationship with him from Loewe previously to his takeover of one of the most high-profile luxury fashion brands in the world. 

 

Haven’t seen an official confirmation yet about her grey dress with the drop belt in Seoul but the tailoring is exquisite and it wouldn’t be a surprise if it is Dior by JWA. Greta Lee is the main character and a press tour is coming. Margot Robbie’s isn’t the only wardrobe to watch for!
