Goop is rebranding G. Label into Gwyn, a slimmed-down and much more posh version of G.Label, which was focused on knits and rompers and upscale-but-casual clothing. At the press preview, she told fashion media that it’s a detox of G.Label. Yes, we get it, you hate flour and sugar.

 

The Gwyn pieces are tightly wound, very fussy and this detox narrows down her customer base even more. This is a risk. We already have The Row and The Row hasn’t ever chased brands or trends. It’s all about slow fashion, which is very different from being a commerce arm of an editorial website.
