Carpets & Candids: Hailee’s purple boots

Here’s how you fire up a pretty ordinary white, strapless dress. Or maybe the ordinary white, strapless dress was exactly what Hailee Steinfeld was looking for because this outfit was built around these boots. That’s what I would have done if I had access to these boots: you make the boots the main event and the only job of whatever’s on top is to get the f-ck out of the way. 

Because these aren’t just purple boots. They’re metallic purple. Which means they’re hitting two trends at once: Pantone’s colour of the year is Ultraviolet and holograph is happening everywhere from makeup to clothing. 

Also worth noting: a good decision to not overkill on the eye shadow with purple.
