In a story that feels like it was specifically tailored to my interests, Prince Harry and Meghan Sussex hosted Brooklyn and Nicola Peltz-Beckham for dinner. Two British princes and their American wives! 

 

The report came from PEOPLE so it is legit, but it also has the specific detail that Harry and Meghan did not personally invite the Peltz-Beckhams. I know rich people do things differently, but this was in Harry and Meghan’s home, so it’s odd to me that the invite was not personal. It’s not a kegger. And the reasoning is a bit contradictory, with a source telling PEOPLE: “While it was an intimate gathering, there were several additional guests, including VIPs and film executives.” That is very “press release” language. And that still doesn’t explain how Brooklyn and Nicola fit in – they may be VIP but they are not industry titans. If we are guessing who leaked this story, well, who needs the good press right now? And which party would go out of their way to call David a birthday hog (“Brooklyn and Nicola were invited prior to David’s numerous global birthday galas, so the timing is pure coincidence”)? It wouldn’t be Harry and Meghan. 

 

Coincidentally, Kate Middleton stepped out in a Victoria Beckham suit (and I don’t doubt it’s a coincidence, it’s not like Kate knows who Harry and Meghan are hanging out with, and her outfits are planned well in advance). But the British tabloids couldn’t dream up a better scenario than the Beckhams as a proxy battleground for the royal family, and they’ve been concocting fictitious scenarios for years.

 

Kath Ebbs and JoJo Siwa’s breakup drama continues. To recap, JoJo reportedly broke it off as soon as she got out of the UK Big Brother house, which Kath recounted in detail on TikTok. As a geriatric bystander, I will say that this seems like totally normal behaviour on JoJo’s part – she’s 21. Let her live. And Kath is an influencer, so taking the breakup to social media is also expected. And to add to that, Kath is 27 and this brings up questions about maturity levels (21 and 27 can be very far apart) and the power dynamics around fame (Kath says they feel voiceless and like a pawn in a new interview with Betches). If you are the older sister in this situation, what’s the advice? I feel like they’ve both had their say and now is the time to let it go. Be hung up on your ex in the group chat, not on a podcast.

 

HBO said I’M BACK BITCHES. Did anyone even call it Max? Also, why do they need to keep Max? Why can’t it just be HBO? I’m sure there’s a reason but I do not care to dig into it. I have very limited brain power and am not using it on this. At least they got to the memes before anyone else could.
