Hayden Panettiere's memoir is making headlines with a focus on a famous bad man. The usual chorus of “name him” is playing out online but that feels like armchair activism. It would be pretty dangerous for Hayden to name him. She’s famous but not powerful in Hollywood and if he wanted to keep her tied up in court for years, he could. And as we’ve seen over the last couple of years, many men will do this.
A lawsuit like that is financially crippling and life-altering. For some women, it’s been career-ruining. For a lone woman without a strong team, it’s even more isolating.

We’ve talked a lot about how women in Hollywood are leading the AI charge, for some reason. Oprah’s most recent podcast is with the founders of Claude AI, twins who broke away from OpenAI (ChatGPT). Again, interesting how women in power are focusing on this.
Shakira with a resounding win against the Spanish government in a tax case that goes back to 2011. The government has to return €60 million. The Rihanna song choice is absolutely warranted.
Mindy Kaling is profiled in Bustle and yes, she talks about her weight. It’s not the most candid conversation but as Mindy points out, she understands the scrutiny because she herself is a follower of celebrity pop culture.
