How much of a cultural footprint has Taylor Sheridan's Lioness starring Nicole Kidman and Zoe Saldaña left?

Lioness season three premieres next week on Paramount. This is a Taylor Sheridan show, and Taylor Sheridan is big business. And Paramount’s television business is basically Taylor Sheridan, so it’s not surprising that there are now three seasons of this series even though I’m not sure it’s left that much of a cultural footprint. Maybe it’s just my algorithm but there’s not that much hype around this show, despite the two major stars who are attached to it, both of them Oscar winners. Please let me know if you watch Lioness and what you think, I haven’t seen a single episode but then again, Paramount is not near the top of my app list.

Nicole Kidman and Zoe Saldaña were at the premiere last night in New York. There’s clearly a lot of affection between them. Here are Nicole and Zoe hugging tightly and the lipreaders can jump in and let us know what they’re saying.

And Zoe shared her feelings about working with the cast and how much she’s enjoyed the experience of working on the show.

Zoe is wearing Balmain, from the new collection, very much a look that’s coded to her signature style. Deep plunge, strong shoulders, with a hint of 80s wrap dress – so that it’s giving vintage but also what you could have seen on her in the 2000s and the 2010s. In other words, timeless.

As for Nicole, I like the curtain bangs she’s doing with the hair here. And the elements of the outfit are great – the metallic looping on the long blouse over an excellent pair of trousers make her look that much taller. Also could have been The Odyssey, there’s definitely some Greco-Roman happening here. It’s just… the colour kinda washes her out. I’m not as overwhelmed as I usually am when she’s on a carpet. But then again, she’s part of an ensemble on this show, and not the lead. So I feel like she might be saving the good sh-t in a few weeks time for when she’s on promo for Practical Magic 2.
