There’s something a little pinched about GP lately; maybe it’s the lack of nominations for Marty Supreme, maybe it’s goop, maybe it’s nothing.

Because there’s so much news, the Pink story died quickly. As Sarah wrote at the time, the split isn’t super scandalous. The interesting part is the way the story rolled out – PEOPLE doesn’t miss. And I think Pink and Carey Hart have handled it well – Pink posted once, but didn’t dwell. Carey hasn’t posted about it at all, which is normal for his feed.

Sorry if I’m a bit of an idiot, but did we all know that Nick Turturro and John Turturro are brothers? I! Did! Not! And cousins with Aida Turturro (Janice from The Sopranos). How do we get some kind of serious 60 Minutes special on this lineage.

Gucci showed up and showed out with its first runway show under creative director Demna (Lainey wrote about it last week). It’s a pivot towards the provocative, a turn away from the monochromatic minimalism that has been dominating consumerism. Beige is over, baby. The consensus of non-fashion-industry people online (that its tacky and dated) is very different from what the fashion critics are saying – Vogue was effusive and veteran fashion jouranlists range from intrigued to outright gagged. These are the pieces celebrities will be clamouring to wear, stylists are going to be fighting for to get these looks. Which means very soon, this aesthetic will trickle down to mid-market brands. I’m curious to see how.
