It’s been a quiet year for Harry Styles. Very quiet. Super low-key in 2024 and it’s been the same so far in 2025. Hilariously there was an April Fool’s Day joke going around yesterday about how he’d been cast as the new Doctor Who. Not sure if anyone fell for this.
We are coming up soon on the three year anniversary of Harry’s last album, Harry’s House, which went onto win the Grammy for Album of the Year. Before that was Fine Line which came out in 2019. So it’s about that time-ish for his next drop, especially since it was reported that he’d been in the studio as of last March.
Taylor Swift’s fans aren’t the only ones who are constantly clowning themselves with the easter egging and reading into any detail as a clue that new music might be coming. Harry Styles fans do this too and they’ve had a lot to work with over the last few weeks as Harry’s been papped on a few occasions. Last week he was seen twice, once having lunch with James Corden, and the other time on his own, with wired headphones in prompting speculation about what he might be listening to.
He stepped out again yesterday, wired headphones too, (you can see those photos here) and fans are convinced that he’s playing tracks from HS4. Does the facial hair have to be part of HS4? I have no thoughts on when a new album might be coming or whether or not this is some kind of sign that it is, but I am curious about the styling for it. Every one of Harry’s album releases has had its own distinctive fashion mood, and he’s intentional about it. For Harry’s House it was glam-rock meets boho and bright colours. He made headlines for the ballet flats he wore on the Harry’s House album cover. Will be interesting to see where his style vibe is headed if and when it’s time for the next. How much does the moustache factor into it – or, hopefully, not?
