Moves like Lisa
We are ten weeks away from BLACKPINK kicking off their world tour in Korea on July 5 before heading overseas. Up to this point, Jennie, Jisoo, Lisa, and Rosé have been focused on their solo projects. But now Jennie and Lisa have wrapped up their two weeks at Coachella… does this mean they’ll be regrouping to focus on band activities, and possible new music (FINALLY)? Many Blinks (like me!) are hoping for at least one or two fresh BLACKPINK tracks to accompany this tour. And visuals. There’s time, not much, but there’s time.
Still, and I don’t want to not be supportive and sound like a hater, but I wish some of that time wasn’t being spent on Maroon 5. A new post showed up on the Maroon 5 Instagram account yesterday – it’s Adam Levine and an unidentified woman with their backs to the camera facing the city.
Even without the hints fans were able to clock that this is Lisa’s unmistakable silhouette. But the most convincing hint is that her makeup artist Maeng shared this in Stories.

By the way, I’m obsessed with Maeng’s work and her IG account is a go-to for makeup inspo.
So it looks like Maroon 5 will be dropping a new single feat Lisa. Which, sorry, but I’m not excited. There is not a single Maroon 5 song that I f-ck with and that includes the so-called “popular” ones. Lisa doesn’t need Maroon 5 but also, for me personally, I’ve never been able to get with Maroon 5 music. And not in a passive way. Like, I’m physically revolted by their sound and while Lisa is talented, I don’t think even she can change that for me. And I’m actually terrified to see what the visuals will be like because I don’t think Adam Levine is capable of not being gross in a music video.
What else happened today…
As I’ve said this week, I saw Sinners on Saturday and loved it so much I couldn’t stop talking about it with everyone I know. And that includes Duana who I texted that night to scream about its brilliance. I have spent the last few days reading everything on the internet about the movie. And then she texted back last night after seeing it and she’s doing the same. So here’s Taryn Finley’s wonderful piece about the film and how she saw her family in the story and why its success should not be undermined. (Refinery29)
Oh look, it’s Heidi Klum in an appalling outfit and I don’t know if I buy what the Fug Girls are floating here that she might be f-cking with us. This, to me, is Occam’s Razor: she just has really bad taste. (Go Fug Yourself)
We are just under a month away from the season 50 finale of Saturday Night Live. The show is currently on mini-hiatus and returns May 3 with Quinta Brunson hosting and musical guest Benson Boone. This is probably when they’ll announce the hosts for the remaining episodes of the season, including the finale. And then comes the guessing game of who’s leaving and who’s coming back and watching for the tears during the credits of the season finale. Dustin Rowles speculated on who might be going and raised an interesting suggestion for Weekend Update to replace Che and Jost: Jane Wickline and Michael Longfellow? I’m super into Jane Wickline, she’s shown great promise this season, and while Michael Longfellow is not my favourite, I can see why he’d appeal on the desk. (Pajiba)
While we’re talking about SNL’s future alumni, it’s just been announced that alumnus Bill Hader is developing a new project…and if you watch The Studio, once again Hollywood is basically proving that show right, again. (The Mary Sue)
If you are a masochist and were curious about why Liz Hurley is into Billy Ray Cyrus. (Celebitchy)
