Jacob & Kendall started before Coachella

One of the biggest gossip stories to come out of week one of Coachella was that Jacob Elordi and Kendall Jenner were seen making out at Justin Bieber’s after-party. There were no photos – it was DeuxMoi who reported it at the time and then it kinda went quiet. Until now…

PEOPLE with the exclusive last night – that Coachella wasn’t where Jacob and Kendall started, they’ve “been hanging out and getting to know each other the last couple months”, according to the source aka probably Kris Jenner. I was wondering when the Jacob and Kendall rumours first started whether or not they were just horny in the desert. I mean, they could still just be horny but not just in the desert if they’ve been circling each other since award season.

Obviously, since Jacob was an Oscar nominee on the award circuit, he and his team would have wanted no part of the Kardashian-Jenner nonsense getting out there during that time, especially since they had a front row seat to the mess that Timothée Chalamet’s campaign ended up being. There are many factors that led to the public’s turn against Timmy but let’s not pretend it doesn’t have a little bit to do with Kylie. Can’t imagine that anyone in Jacob’s professional orbit wouldn’t have been like… you don’t want that smoke, at least not now. Not until we’re clear of the Oscars.

One of our team members at ETALK, Elise, pointed out this morning that if Jacob and Kendall are legit, it would be the third nepo-baby he’s dated in a row, and something else he has in common with Timothée. For Jacob it’s Kaia Gerber, Olivia Jade Giannulli, and now Kendall. For Timmy, Lourdes Leon, then Lily-Rose Depp, and now Kylie.

As for whether or not Jacob would actually be bothered by how polarising Kendall and her family are – he was in a relationship with a girl whose parents cheated her way into college, do we really believe that he’s allergic to mess?

That said, PEOPLE’s “exclusive” about them likely did not come from his side. And he does seem like a mercurial type who is into the noise one minute and then tries to be wary of it the next. Will be interesting to see how he might respond to being the subject of Kris’s now infamous media leaks. What will sources be saying next time there’s an update? That he was spooked? Or is this the beginning of a rollout?
