Is a tired-looking Jack Lowden experiencing parent-of-a-newborn fatigue?

Jack Lowden was seen in London shopping at Sainsbury’s with his reusable grocery bag. This man looks… tired. And it could be for a couple of reasons. First, as Sarah wrote in her post from a couple of weeks ago, production has started on Netflix’s Pride and Prejudice, the six-part new adaptation in which Jack stars as Mr Darcy. A first look image of the Bennet sisters and Mrs Bennet was released to mark the kickoff. We have not yet seen a shot of what Jack looks like as Darcy though and, of course, it’s smart of them to hold that back.

Maybe it’s not work that’s keeping Jack from sleeping. It was confirmed back in May that Saoirse Ronan is/was expecting their first child. Could Jack be experiencing parent-of-a-newborn fatigue? Saoirse’s kept a low-profile (as usual) since the announcement but we could be seeing her soon since her new film, Bad Apples, is world premiering at TIFF on the first weekend of the festival. She’s the lead actor in the project, so presumably she’ll do what she can to be there.

Can I just rage for a second though about AI? I googled Saoirse as I was writing this to check on whether or not she’s talked about her pregnancy and if there was any reporting about her giving birth. Look what this dumbass AI spat out:

Anyway, Jack too might have some promotion coming up as Slow Horses season five premieres on September 24 with two episodes the first week and then an episode a week until the season finale. I LOVE this show, I can’t f-cking wait. But I came to Slow Horses late, like after season four had finished. So I have no experience watching it in real time, episode by episode. This will be hard for me.

No, I could not go a day this week so far without talking about Kpop Demon Hunters. Here’s the latest: Netflix announced yesterday that they’re doing two days of sing-along screenings this month for the movie in theatres! Am I going? OBVIOUSLY. Duana bought our tickets this morning, LOL FOREVER. We will be there on Sunday 24 August at 7pm at the Lightbox in Toronto screaming our faces off to the soundtrack. (Mashable)

Does anybody need a sequel to Pineapple Express? Seth Rogen definitely doesn’t. Every six months I turn around and he has a new show or a movie he’s producing. (Pajiba)

I have not seen Weapons – Sarah’s review of the film is here – because I don’t f-ck with scary movies. But I was today year’s old when I found out that there’s one shot in Weapons that I very much f-ck with: the hot dog tray?! I am a hot dog enthusiast, I love hot dogs so much. This tray is a thing of beauty! I might pay to see this movie just to have a multiplex hot dog, then open my eyes long enough to enjoy that scene and then leave and go eat more hot dogs. (The Ringer)
