The first part of the second season of Wednesday premieres next week, and as such, Jenna Ortega is on the “Doom Tour” promoting the show around the world. Cute branding! Seriously, I was mixed on season one, but I do like how everyone leans into Wednesday Addams’ Goth girl roots with the marketing for the show. They have found the right formula for bringing Wednesday Addams to a new generation, giving Gen Z their own Wednesday without sanding her edges down. Plus, it’s fun and doesn’t look like any other project being advertised right now.

Speaking of fun, Jenna Ortega’s fashion, so far, has been very spook-ooky. For the Paris premiere, it was brown and Gothic:

The dress is Andrea Kronthaler for Vivienne Westwood, and Ortega is working with stylist Enrique Melendez. They’re keeping it Goth-forward so far. For the photocall in Paris, it was this stringy number:

Earlier in the week, Ortega rocked an unsettling scaly number from Ashi Studio:

It’s theme dressing, but the fashion is so good, I don’t mind it. It’s like Zendaya in the vintage Mugler robot suit for Dune 2, when the fashion is that good, I don’t care about particulars. And I guess that is the inherent of hypocrisy of theme dressing—it’s fine when it’s your fave, but annoying when anyone else does it. I’m not sure Jenna Ortega is on my list of favorites just yet, but if she keeps evolving her fashion like this, she will be.

Here’s Jenna Ortega at the Paris Wednesday event yesterday.
