Like I said earlier in the post about Brad Pitt and John Mayer being at Jennifer Aniston’s 50th birthday party, it was the most impressive A-list guest list of any event this year, more than any award show. Her birthday party was what the Oscars want to look like. And it’s what the best Vanity Fair Oscar parties look like at the Sunset Tower where so many Vanity Fair Oscar parties have taken place. It wasn’t just famous people, but there were a LOT of famous people. So many that the non-famous guests from the industry who are used to this kind of thing in Hollywood couldn’t quite believe it. These would be production team members and crew from her recent projects, like Dumplin’ and Top of the Morning.
Here’s a quick rundown of some of the most high profile names at Jen’s party:

-George and Amal Clooney (who looked pretty toasted as they were leaving and her skin is ridiculous)

I’m tired of making this list now so I think you get the point.
To answer some of the questions that have come in over email: a couple of you were surprised to see Sandra Bullock there. Really? Jen and Sandy have been close for a while. They used to double date when Jen was still married to Justin Theroux. Sandy crashed an interview that Jen was doing with Dolly Parton recently.
Next: a few of you noted the absence of Julia Roberts. Good one. They’ve worked together. They held hands at the SAG Awards in 2015:
Maybe Julia was just too busy doing Valentine’s crafts with her kids on a Saturday night to go to party?
And then there were the social media posts. It’s one thing to insist on privacy, it’s another to set up a photo booth with perfect lighting so that people can have good shots for Instagram. Here are just a few samples:
