Jennifer Lopez celebrated her birthday last Friday, she’s now 57 years old. And she seems to be in a really good place. It’s a corny thing to say but it definitely applies to her – that Carrie Bradshaw quote at the end of Sex and the City: “the most important relationship is the one you have with yourself”.

For as many times as she’s been in love, and it hasn’t worked out, there’s also, always, the corresponding bounce back.

JLo is now on holiday in Rome and her two kids, Max and Oskar, have joined her. She’s talked about how emotional she was before their high school graduation and both are going to university soon which means this is likely their final family trip before they independently head off and start figuring out what their lives will look like as adults. Coconuts are all grown up!

Kayleigh Donaldson writes about Gracie Abrams’s new album and I can’t disagree. I have heard so much of Gracie’s music, I’ve listened to the new album once, all the way through. And I can’t remember a single song. The only song I do know is the one that was overplayed on the radio last year, two years ago? Like I know it to hear it, but I can’t recall the title without googling. It’s kinda like during pumpkin spice season when all the autumn girls pose in a group with their knee high boots and blowouts – no one sticks out. So, as Kayleigh notes, it’s a matter of figuring out how to distinguish her sound from the rest. (Pajiba)

There have been a lot of premieres this week. There was a premiere event for Ted Lasso season four last night and Hannah Waddingham made her look all leg – I rate it! (Go Fug Yourself)

Our Kathleen (she will always be our Kathleen) is a “Tomdaya day one” so, as you can imagine, she’s been eating well these days. Her latest post is about her latest favourite Tomdaya moment – and of course she’s right. All straight women should be in the company of “a man who speaks so highly of you and your work, a man who loves you so loudly he's unafraid to say you are better at things than him”. (Refinery 29)
