Jeremy Allen White’s Final Bear tour
The Bear season five premieres June 25, all eight episodes will be released at the same time. So that day is the last day, really, for Carm and Sydney and Cousin and Tina and the entire Bear family, no disrespect to the other cast and characters, it’s a lot of them and there are so many Facks.
I’ve watched every episode of the show, including the most recent special episode, “Gary”, which revisited one day in the Mikey-Richie timeline that continues to reverberate to the present. No spoilers but it seems obvious that what happens at the end will have an impact on the new season.
Let me make an asshole out of myself right now and say that… if that’s really the thing that gets Carmy back, I don’t like it. Probably that won’t be, and I’ll be in a clown suit, again, in three weeks. But this is one of the many questions that fans of the show are waiting for to be answered.
Until then, Jeremy Allen has started promotion. He was on Jimmy Kimmel Live! yesterday talking about both the Mandalorian & Grogu and also The Bear, revealing that he took the block table from the set as a memento from the experience, shipping it back to LA where it’s currently hanging out in his garage until he finds a permanent place indoors for it.
In other JAW news, he filmed Enemies with Austin Butler, a crime drama, last year – it’s an A24 production without a release date yet, so it’s possible that the film could be part of the fall festival circuit and reverse the trend from Cannes with Hollywood productions skipping out on film festivals in favour of other marketing efforts.
What else happened today…
Jennifer Lopez wore Miss Sohee at the NYC premiere of Office Romance. It’s well within her wheelhouse and I’m just happy this label is getting more and more play. (GoFugYourself)
Kayleigh Donaldson on Rosamund Pike clocking that someone was texting while she was on stage during a play and… like… why would you want to miss a moment of Rosamund Pike? (Pajiba)
The parallels between Carolyn Bessette-Kennedy and Meghan Sussex. (Celebitchy)
Megan Stalter’s message for this year’s Pride. (Autostraddle)
This is Very Important for those of us who are Oscar junkies: the inside baseball on what’s happening with the Academy over this year’s honorary Oscars and who might get them. (Variety)
