Sorry, but any of us who watched Dawson’s Creek from back in the day are going to make this reference. It’s Joshua Jackson and Busy Philipps at an event together this weekend and giving us an updated photo of Pacey and Audrey who started out as friends with benefits and became official boyfriend and girlfriend even though, I swear, most of their relationship involved busting each other for making out with other people.
But then again, this was part of the appeal of that show and the genre it belongs to: everyone is always walking in on each other making out with other people and then getting back together and then breaking up and deciding they’re better as friends – in this case because on DC the OTP was Pacey and Joey.
Still, I love that Josh and Busy kinda showed up to this thing in a couples outfit. He’s in a pink suit over a white tee, she’s in a white set with pink hair. It’s like they coordinated, but they couldn’t have possibly… but this is what it ended up being. So do we have to rethink that OTP thing? In the end, should it have been Pacey and Audrey? Of course not. Maybe, though, IRL? I mean, they’re both single now...
Stop. Not everything has to end in romance. You can just be two actors who were part of an iconic show and somehow made it through 25 years in a business that can be toxic and still have love for each other.
What else happened today…
I posted about Tyla hosting the Kids Choice Awards earlier and here are some other looks from the event. Auli'i Cravalho looks amazing and I love her hair like this. (Go Fug Yourself)
Dustin Rowles calls Timothy Olyphant the “more cowbell” of actors and I feel like Sarah would 100% agree with this. (Pajiba)
Celine Song was asked what movie she would want if she was stuck on a desert island – it’s a standard question, there should be no wrong answers except any movie with Justin Timberlake, yes, even The Social Network. Anyway, people got big mad about the movie that she chose. (The Mary Sue)
I log a lot of steps so I feel pretty good about cardio. But what I don’t do is strength training. I hate it, it hurts, I’m weak, it hurts – an endless cycle of futility, I know. Now science it telling me I’m a dumbass because as a vain bitch, I should have been strength training since it makes you biologically younger. Is this the incentive I needed?! (Celebitchy)
Hamilton, Ontario’s very own Shai Gilgeous-Alexander is an NBA champion and the NBA Finals MVP, capping off a season of so much pressure and also… balance. As Marcus Thompson II notes for The Athletic, that’s been the key to SGA’s success. (NY Times)
