Jenna, Anya, and Celine in Marrakech

The Marrakech International Film Festival is happening right now and Jenna Ortega, Anya Taylor-Joy, and Celine Song are all there as jury members. Jenna has just become the youngest-ever person to sit on the Marrakech jury. 

Film festivals are for films but also for fashion and many looks have already been served. For Jenna, the standout so far, in my opinion, is what she wore to opening night – a black Bevza bodysuit and skirt that, together, looks like one piece. 

It’s hard to see, with the red backdrop, how beautifully constructed the outfit is. So here’s how it was presented by the designer, and I actually prefer the way it’s been styled with the collar up. Anya Taylor-Joy is a Dior ambassador so wearing Dior at events like this is part of the deal. I’ve found her underwhelming in Dior since she stopped working with Law Roach but… Dior is now Jonathan Anderson and the impact has been immediate. This is the best Dior I’ve seen on her in a long time – repurposed in black without straps from the runway to the red carpet for Anya, the tiered bubble dress with hydrangeas falling on both sides is dreamy and ethereal, SO good.

And finally… it makes me crazy that people sleep on Celine Song’s fashion because she is always SO chic. This is why Thom Browne loves her and often dresses her and same goes for Jonathan Anderson – the entire Past Lives press tour was basically Loewe for both Celine and Greta Lee.

 Here’s Celine in Marrakech on opening night in a really pretty black dress with lace cap sleeves and a high collar, worn with flats, as minimal as possible which is her signature. It’s not flashy but it is very fashionable.
