Well…they’re always A-list, really. But for some reason, this year feels even more so. Continuing with custom, Felicity Huffman and Reese Witherspoon will return as presenters, joined by Reese’s fellow Tennessee native Justin Timberlake – quite the honour for Little Pip who wants to grow up and be an actor one day. Also confirmed to present: George Clooney, SJP (always good for a nauseatingly obsequious fashion moment), Salma Hayek (always a contender for my Best Breasts Award), and Rachel Weisz – not bad at all considering we are still over 10 days away on top of the already heavyweight list of nominees almost guaranteed to show that evening. Interesting to note - Warren Beatty is being honoured with the Cecil B DeMille Award. Can you believe it’s been 15 years since Madonna’s Truth or Dare? Can you imagine if she showed up for the tribute? I could die a happy gossip… And finally, an appropriate trip down memory lane: last year, on the heels of her GG victory, Reese and Ryan’s revolting campaign tactics – skeptics were skewered at the time for daring to dump on the sunkissed golden gloss of the MiniVan’s favourite couple. And while I know that hindsight is always 20/20, I even said it at the time: what was the hell was believable about this???
