Katie is scheduled to begin production this summer in Melbourne on a thriller called Don’t Be Afraid of the Dark, a screenplay co-written by none other than Guillermo del Toro who also directed Pan’s Labyrinth and is currently helming The Hobbit.
In other words, not just some random slasher flick.
According to the Australian press, the big question now is where Tom and Katie and Little Sci will stay while she’s filming there.
Tom Cruise spending the summer – or winter! – Down Under. Interestingly enough, he was once tight with Australian billionaire James Packer having recruited him for the Church. Packer was able to shake off the Xenu charms though and distanced himself from Scientology a few years ago.
Perhaps Tom will try again...
