Yes, yes, and yes.
At the very least then, Katie knew her role. She did not walk the carpet. But of course not. Tom Cruise was in Europe. How could she possible walk a carpet alone?
Instead, Katie only appeared onstage to announce Sean Penn in an understated brown dress with an interesting cutout at the side. Gorgeous. And appropriate. KatE was not screaming to be seen.
