Katie Holmes’s very long hair at Paris Fashion Week

Katie Holmes in Paris for Fashion Week which, of course, reminds of me when she used to, when she was still married to Tom Cruise, do fashion week with Victoria Beckham, and my joke back then was that VB was Katie’s plus one. Now, like 15 years later, Victoria Beckham is actually showing at fashion week with her own label.

Anyway, Katie was photographed today at Zimmerman, I saw these shots of her with her hair perfectly beachy-kinky textured and was like, wow, great extensions since in my mind, her hair is just longer than shoulder length. But then, just to be sure, I checked photos of her over the last several months and realised… her hair has just kept growing, I (we?) just weren’t keeping track, and now it’s longer than it’s been in a while. It looks really good and you know how there are often comparisons made between Katie Holmes and Kate Middleton? Maybe Katie can be the hair inspo Princess Kate needs to update her own hairstyle?

What else happened today…

Chappell Roan has been one of the main characters at PFW over the last few days with appearances at Vivienne Westwood and Valentino under the creative directorship for Alessandro Michele, two houses that are perfectly suited to her vibe. It occurred to me that since Chappell has been so committed to her signature look, and performs it so well, I have no idea what she looks like without makeup on. And, frankly, I don’t want to know. A few months ago I mentioned in a post about Timmy Bob Dylan that I don’t know Dylan because I did not grow up with parents who cared about Dylan which is how, I think, a lot of people my age were introduced to his music. The same is true of Led Zeppelin. I went to a high school with so many kids who were all about Led Zeppelin, The Doors, Pink Floyd – I associate all these bands in one musical lump – and I kinda nodded along in the bleaches or at the house parties not able to differentiate one from the other because I was bumping top 40 and hip-hop/R&B. Now there’s a Led Zeppelin documentary that’s apparently doing quite well, wonder if there’s a crossover between that audience at the one for A Complete Unknown. Should I see it? (Pajiba)
