Kylie in tartan
Remember when Kylie Jenner tried to trademark “Kylie” and Kylie Minogue was like, no, I’m the #1 Kylie and you can sit down?
As MC wrote in his weekly music column yesterday, Kylie has never not been relevant, the gays have loved her music for three decades and she’s currently giving them a very gay Christmas so Kylie, who said then during the trademark dispute that she’s created her own brand, continues to prove herself right and bet on herself to win.
Here she is in London in red tartan, a classic holiday print, promoting her new single “XMAS” and the repackaged Christmas album. It’s a cute look on her, basically a belted oversized plaid shirt all glammed up, Kylie style. Peep the side belt, which is a nice detail, and while I would have personally gone with a different shoe choice, a flatter one, I get that for Kylie, who is tiny, she’s always trying to add height.
This song though…
I can’t listen to it too much because otherwise it won’t leave my head for the whole day. It’s the way she bounces through the letters – X… M…A….S…
An instant mood lifter and, sh-t, I just watched her latest IG post and now it’s there, it’s taken over, all I’m hearing is “XMAS” so I guess I’m just passing this along.
What else happened today…
Quinta Brunson looks so festive, these are definitely holiday colours but the look doesn’t scream “holiday!”, I love it and she looks so cute and comfortable. (Go Fug Yourself)
Kayleigh Donaldson writes thoughtfully about the decline of Duolingo and the warning this poses about AI. The gameification of it is what ruined it for me because I got addicted to the points and the advancing and actually wasn’t learning. My Mandarin is still terrible. (Pajiba)
I just found out that every year there’s a bad take on When Harry Met Sally?! (The Mary Sue)
Gwen Stefani and Blake Shelton want you to know that their marriage is fine. (Celebitchy)
The Ella McCay challenge is taking over social media but will it mean people will go see the film? (Vulture)
