Selena and Benny: Joint talk shows

This week has been a year, so let’s lighten up and head into the weekend with some good vibes and young love. Here are Selena Gomez and Benny Blanco, continuing to make the rounds for their album, I Said I Love You First. It’s out today, and they’ve been promoting it all week. 

Last night, they appeared on The Tonight Show together. They’re adorable.

 

What I like most about Selena and Benny as a celebrity couple is that you can tell Selena feels truly supported by him in their relationship. I really hope that never goes away for her. 

But The Tonight Show is not the only talk show Selena and Benny did together, they also appeared on Hot Ones together. If you, like me, cannot STAND Jimmy Fallon as an interviewer, Sean Evans is a massive sigh of relief with his well-researched, thoughtful questions. And he gets much better answers, too, since thoughtful questions prompt thoughtful responses. 

Also, I would love to know if her makeup is Rare Beauty, because she is pressing that cloth napkin to her whole mouth, and her lipstick isn’t budging. Same for her eye liner/mascara, which are not smudging even through watery eyes. That is the best advertisement for makeup, truly.

 

For those of you who don’t see it in re: Benny Blanco, have you listened to him talk about music? When he gets going on music, yeah, I see it. He starts talking about music, he gets fired up, his passion takes over, you can see it. Beyond music being something that they share, people who are passionate about things are just more fun to be around. Bored people are boring, interested people are interesting. Benny Blanco is interested, and he isn’t shy about expressing that interest. I am officially rooting for these two crazy kids, who are both in their thirties.
