Alicia Vikander has kept a very low profile the last couple of years but she’s a Louis Vuitton ambassador and showed up for an LV event and the highlight of this outfit is the belt – in the LV monogram and I like how it’s been styled here like it could be attached to a bag. Laura Harrier was also there wearing what’s considered one of the highlight pieces of the collection but I feel like she can pull off a much more interesting design. (Go Fug Yourself)
Eating hot dogs is a summer long weekend tradition in North America and there’s a contest for this in the United States. I love hot dogs. I would love to enter a hot dog eating contest knowing there’s no way I’d win because, well, you can’t rush a hot dog! I like to savour my hot dogs. I take my time getting the sausage resting just so on the bun and lovingly add my condiments. I bite off the ends first, and then make my way to the middle. All of this is time consuming and not meant for speed. But with speed, you miss out on the wonderful things about hot dog eating – like that pop against your teeth when you go in, and the oozing of the ketchup and mustard together off the bun. (Dlisted)
I love Stephen Colbert but one thing he and I disagree on (not that he knows this) is Lord of the Rings. He’s obsessed with it, I think it’s boring AF. Anyway, it’s well known that Colbert is a major LOTR nerd. But the nerd got stumped. (Pajiba)
Celebrity love is the theme of the day and it wouldn’t be complete without a wedding. Gwen Stefani and Blake Shelton are married. At the time of this post, there are no photos yet of the newly married couple. Which means we haven’t seen her dress – and considering how special her first wedding dress was, we all remember the pink, I can’t wait to see this one. And I can’t imagine Gwen wouldn’t show us? Magazine or Instagram? (Cele|bitchy)
Just before the long weekend in Canada, yet another discovery on the site of another former residential school: 182 unmarked graves, believed to be member from the member Bands of the Ktunaxa Nation. Indigenous people have been telling us forever that this f-cksh-t was going on at these facilities. And now they’re showing us, one “school” at a time, a week at a time. This is the third discovery in a month - and there will be more. (The Guardian)
