Some brands and their ambassadors are a perfect match. Zendaya + Valentino = Excellent. Jodie Turner-Smith + Gucci = Amazing. Kristen Stewart + Chanel = So F-cking Good.
But Chanel doesn’t work for everyone. As I’ve been saying for a while now, since shortly after the partnership started, I don’t dig Margot Robbie in Chanel. Her red carpet style before Chanel was a lot more exciting. Remember that gold Tom Ford she wore to the Oscars?!

I can see why so many fashion houses wanted to sign Margot after that - to showcase their own pieces with the same excitement. That’s what’s missing from Margot when she wears Chanel. There’s not been one Chanel look that gives me the gasps on Margot Robbie. Which is why I knew right away when I saw her in this white set last night at the WSJ. Magazine 2022 Innovator Awards in New York that she was not in Chanel.
Margot is wearing Proenza not Chanel …and is that why she looks outstanding?!
The tailoring is great - white jacket, the collar and the hem peeking above and below, and the wide-leg pants. Which I don’t normally f-ck with. But she pulls them off. She is wearing the sh-t out of this fit. This is the best Margot Robbie outfit we’ve seen in a long time.
