But first a word on Colin Farrell who has had a schedule this past week. A week ago today he was in Toronto for the premiere of Ballad of a Small Player – I know because I was there. Pretty sure he flew in and right back out because two days later he was in London for the premiere of A Big Bold Beautiful Journey posing in his trenchcoat beside director Kogonada and Margot Robbie. (You probably don’t remember anything about Colin because Margot’s naked Armani dress was the main attraction.)

From there, though, Colin then had to return to LA for the weekend and the Emmys on Sunday. And then on Monday night, last night, it was New York City for the Big Bold Beautiful carpet there. So he’s probably tired, but I’m willing to bet he’s not grumpy. That’s been the word on Colin Farrell for the better part of a decade, at least in my corner of the media. He’s always pleasant to talk to.

Back to Margot and the look for last night, how she followed up that spectacular Armani last week. Archival Mugler, no problem.

That’s two for two on this press tour for red carpets. And of course that doesn’t include photo calls and other promotional events but if we’re counting those, she’s been killing it there too. My personal favourite is this Vivienne Westwood look from a few weeks ago, that corset over the sickest pair of pants.

This, of course, is Margot’s first full press tour with Andrew Mukamal since Barbie. And while we all saw how brilliant that wardrobe was, in a way it was also kinda …limiting? There’s a lot more range to explore now that she doesn’t have to “be Barbie”. Those black pants are a good example. Last night’s Mugler is a great example. I know we’re getting ahead of ourselves now but I cannot f-cking wait to see what they’ll be serving when it’s time for Wuthering Heights. The film looks demented, hopefully her fashion will be too.
