This is for our beloved longtime reader, Kathryn, and so many others who have been affected by multiple sclerosis (MS). World MS Day is tomorrow and there are walks across Canada on May 31st.

In Canada, there are around 90,000 people living with this disease, which is one of the highest rates in the world – more information can be accessed here.

To Kathryn, Merrylegs the MS AmbassaDOG, and everyone who’ll be walking this weekend – thank you for your strength and resilience and humour and compassion. Kathryn, you asked for luck, and I’m sending it to you, but I know you don’t need it. You’re a student, a teacher, a warrior, a cheerleader – you bring the joy and the good vibes. And I know you’ll be so bright out there this weekend.

To support Kathryn, and help raise awareness and funding for research and resources, please visit MS Canada.
