This one goes out to our site manager, Emily, who I’m sure has already seen these photos of Melanie C aka Sporty Spice, in London tonight at the Nordoff and Robbins O2 Silver Clef Awards looking healthy and happy and fit as f-ck forever.
Which she humble-flexed herself with her latest IG post, throwing it back to 1996 while showing off what she’s still doing in 2026 and, seriously, you can’t tell the difference.
That clip is from a couple of months ago (Emily can confirm this. Emily: correct.) but it’s not like it gets old… because the Mels don’t get old. Mel C and Mel B can still throw it down after all these years. And Mel C, when she takes off the track pants, can still wear the sh-t out of an LBD.
Here’s another one for Emily while we’re at it, because Jessie J is also one of her favourites and she was at the event tonight too. I love this outfit, I would wear it myself – an oversized white shirt and tie over cropped pants, though I would probably go with a different shoe, only because my feet hurt.
What else happened today…
So far they’ve kept the plot details about Starfighter, the new Star Wars movie starring Ryan Gosling, pretty top secret. But there are now apparently rumours about Ryan’s character – and if this ends up being true, I am already afraid about Sarah’s reaction because… well… this has been the chief complaint about the franchise. Fan Bingbing was at Paris Fashion Week too, serving all the drama you expect at couture week. (Go Fug Yourself)
Are you the person who stands up as soon as the plane lands and the seatbelt sign comes off? I’m not but I don’t judge the people who do as long as they’re not pushing people out of the way and acting foolish. And there are a few of those on every flight. I flew last week and before landing there was an announcement about how the flight delay had affected people with connections so the attendant was asking everyone else to chill and let the connecting passengers through first. There was initial cooperation… and then some people got impatient and decided it was their time to go, even though the connecting passengers in the back hadn’t made their way down the aisle yet. Last year I had to yell at a man for coming too close up my goddamn ass while we were all waiting in the aisle to deplane. It was extremely satisfying. (Celebitchy)
I was just thinking the other day that I miss payphones. They’re…romantic. Back in the day, there was always a payphone scene in a romcom. Now there are two whole generations who have never used a payphone. I would totally pick up a payphone if I walked by and it was ringing – even knowing that it was a social experiment. (The Mary Sue)
