We’ve talked a lot about Wicked. But we have not talked much about Michelle Yeoh as Madame Morrible in Wicked. I loved her performance and also? That wig was excellent. Michelle seems to be experimenting more with her hair lately. She was blonde for the Wicked premiere in LA a few weeks ago and just last week, at the Red Sea Film Festival, she tried out a bang. I was really her as a blonde and while I’m not as high on the bang, I’m not mad at it either. It’s definitely a more severe look than what we’re used to seeing from her, but severe, I think, is what she was going for overall. (Go Fug Yourself)

I quite enjoyed Paul Mescal on Saturday Night Live this weekend. There were some weak sketches, no doubt, but it was his giggly energy right off the top in his monologue, and the fact that he was clearly having a great time, not taking himself too seriously, totally present in every scene, and really just how thrilled he was to have been invited, climbing the ladder of fame and not forcing himself to hate it at every step. Also he was so game to be singing and dancing in that Gladiator II x Wicked mashup, how could you possibly resist. (Pajiba)

Timothée Chalamet + college football is not where I thought the A Complete Unknown press tour would take him but here’s another example of his great acting because his performance as a football analyst is actually… pretty good? It’s the emphasis at certain parts of his predictions, the dramatic pauses for no reason (like listing off a series of stats) and then there’s the Matthew McConaughey name check – all of this while wearing a hot pink jacket and not completely abandoning his fashion boy credentials, well done Timmy! (The Mary Sue)

I had no idea until today that Martha Stewart and Ina Garten have issues, although it was Martha who seems to have brought them out in the open (again?) because she understands how to generate a headline. I would much rather this kind of beef, where they battle over quiches or tarts, than whatever mess is happening between TikTokkers. (Celebitchy)

Over the years I have invested in a few Dries van Noten pieces, they are precious to me, even more so now that he’ll be stepping down. This is Danya Issawi on what he meant to fashion. (The Cut)
