Miley Cyrus and Cody Simpson haven’t exactly been subtle about their relationship, especially not on social media. They’ve taken bathroom selfies. They’ve made out over soup:
They’ve made out over breakfast:
They’ve made out with a Joker filter:
And now, maybe, he’s moved in. Here’s what Cody posted on stories yesterday:
I mean, Miley’s going through it, obviously. She’s just come out of a short marriage that was decade-long relationship. She’s still just 26 years old. As Prem wrote last week, she’s figuring out who she loves and how she loves right out in the open, almost defiantly. None of that is weird to me. It might be a little messy, but that doesn’t mean it’s weird. What’s more weird is the fact that Cody’s manager decided to release a statement about their relationship to PEOPLE?
“It is early, but their friendship is long-standing and deeper than people realize. Though they originally met during their own wilder phases, they’re both sober now and are focused on health, work and spending time together. Seems pretty ideal to me,” Simpson’s manager Matt Zeidman tells PEOPLE exclusively in a statement.
Like, great, but why did we need a press release from his manager – does that ping an alert for you? They’re fine. They’re obnoxiously into each other, lusting for each other, it’s must-see IGTV. And the golden rule of entertainment is “show don’t tell”. Nobody needed an explainer here.
That said, Cody’s got a single coming out on Friday. Needless to say, “Golden Thing” is probably about Miley.
You never want to go from hooking up to helping to being used, you know?
