Just a quick update as a follow-up to yesterday’s post about whether Miley Cyrus and Liam Hemsworth have broken up because he wants babies and she’s not ready, a story originated in OK! Australia, not a good source for good gossip. In case you missed it, here’s what Liam posted on Instastory: 

Did you miss it? The headlines about Miley and Liam being over were everywhere. And I’m not sure there was an equal amount of headlining about them not actually being over. So you know what’s probably going to happen next? They’ll say they broke up but got back together because Miley’s agreed to get pregnant soon. 

Anyway, this make-a-story happened because Miley wiped out her IG and OK! Australia decided that it had to do with her personal life instead of her professional life. Now that we know that all is well in her personal life, we can go back to analysing her professional life. According to E!’s source, "Miley is working on new music and rebranding herself, hence why she deleted her Instagram photos. She is starting the process of a new music project and wants a clean slate." 

Her last album, Younger Now, was released less than a year ago. And nobody cared. The New Yorker called it a “creepy return to wholesomeness”. Many criticised her for re-embracing whiteness after exploiting black art and culture. So. If we’re looking at yet another “rebrand”, what does that look like and should we be nervous?
