We are three days away from the anticipated rise of Next Gen Superman, David Corenswet in James Gunn’s takeover – last night was the Hollywood premiere and the embargo for social media reactions has also been lifted so we’re getting first reactions which are almost always positive. And this is the case with Superman with most critics praising the movie, though there are a couple here and there who aren’t as enthused. Sarah’s full review will be coming later this week. 

 

For now, let’s enjoy the three leads, David, Rachel Brosnahan, and Nicholas Hoult on the red carpet. Rachel wore a sequined tank dress by Ralph Lauren with side cutouts, she looks spectacular, but more importantly, she and David look good together. He has largely underwhelmed me on this press tour but I felt something here. 

 

Actually, no, I lied. I also felt it last month when they flirted for Entertainment Weekly in the phone booth…

…but I think I forgot about that because Nicholas Hoult has been such a menace these last few weeks, working with Jason Bolden and serving look after look. Maybe saving his hottest look for the final stop.
